There is something about October that makes a warm, cozy drink feel even better. As the leaves change and the days get a little cooler, it is the perfect time to bring some classic fall flavours into your kitchen.
A homemade chai latte made with Walker Farms A2 Protein Milk, a delicious way to add a creamy finish to your favourite fall drinks.
Classic Chai Latte
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Walker Farms A2 Protein Milk, 2% or 3.25%
- 1 chai tea bag
- 1/2 cup hot water
- 1 tsp honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- A pinch of ground ginger
- A pinch of ground cardamom
Directions:
Start by steeping the chai tea bag in hot water for 4 to 5 minutes. While the tea steeps, warm your Walker Farms A2 Protein Milk in a saucepan over medium heat. Do not let it boil.
Remove the tea bag and combine the chai tea with the warm milk. Stir in the honey or maple syrup, cinnamon, ginger and cardamom. Pour into your favourite mug and finish with a sprinkle of cinnamon.
Give It a Pumpkin Spice Twist
Want to make your chai latte even more fall-inspired? Add 1 tablespoon of pumpkin purée and a pinch of pumpkin pie spice to your warm Walker Farms A2 Protein Milk before combining it with the chai tea.
Top with a little extra cinnamon for a drink that tastes like fall in a cup.
Make It Your Own
Whether you are enjoying it with breakfast, taking a quiet afternoon break, or settling in for a cozy night at home, a homemade chai latte is a simple way to make your October a little more comforting.
